Can I try on the outfit before my event?

Free try-ons are not available sorry, instead we recommend contacting the lender for sizing information prior to renting. If you’re unsure that your rented dress will be a good fit, renting a back-up option is a great idea.

NZ Post has lost the dress on its way to me - what can I do?

Contact info@designercloset.co.nz for assistance in finding a replacement for your event, and be sure to let your lender know too.

I didn't receive my items on time, do I get a refund?

We provide guaranteed refunds for undelivered items, provided they are returned unworn, the next business day.

How can I send through a tracking number?

Please send tracking numbers as screenshot attachments for streamlined communication.

My lender has messaged to say the dress is no longer available – what can I do?

Contact info@designercloset.co.nz immediately for backup options and quick resolutions with 24 hours’ notice.

I live rural, do I have to let the lender know?

Let lenders know if you live more than 50km from a metro area for accurate sending times. Make sure you factor this in to return times too for convenient rentals for rural residents.

What if I’m late returning my clothes?

Late fees apply, so factor returns into your order. Non-compliance may involve external debt-collection agency intervention if the circumstances call for it. Timely returns ensure smooth rental processes with no additional fees!

When will I be charged for my rental?

Full charges occur upon lender confirmation. Declined orders release funds immediately. Make your rentals easy with Designer Closet’s transparent billing and prompt charges.

How long can I hire a dress for?

Options include 4, 8 and 30 days, so plan your rental with time for dispatch and delivery around any upcoming events to minimise late arrivals and make your Designer Closet experience quick and easy!

Can I rent an outfit if I’m under 18?

Designer Closet requires those under 18 to have a parent or guardian rent on their behalf, with liability accepted by them.

What if I accidentally damage the dress?

Spills happen! Contact the lender immediately and arrange a resolution with them directly – additional charges may apply for cleaning or repairs, depending on the damage.

Do I need to dry-clean my clothes after renting?

Rented clothing arrived professionally cleaned. Lenders handle pre-rental dry cleaning, controlling the process and pricing on their end.

How do I return my clothes?

Repack your rented clothes in the provided postal bag and send back to the lender through your nearest NZ Post shop for convenient returns.

What if I rent something and it doesn’t fit?

Refunds are unavailable for accurately sized clothing. Contact the lender for fit-related queries before renting to avoid fitting issues and make your rental hassle-free.

Can I book a dress in advance?

Absolutely! Send a booking request to secure your outfit in advance for your special occasions.

I’ve got an event coming up – how do I know if something’s available for that date?

Check the live calendar for availability, it’s updated whenever something’s rented or made available.

How long will it take for my clothes to be delivered?

Lenders on Designer Closet use Standard or Express NZ Post. While they aim for timely delivery, it’s best to confirm the exact date with the lender and consider your proximity to metro areas for accurate delivery times.

Where does Designer Closet ship to?

All items on Designer Closet are available for shipping across New Zealand: Quick, easy, and affordable nationwide shipping for your convenience!

What if an item is damaged?

If in the unfortunate event the item gets damaged, we will help mediate between the two parties and make sure a fair resolution is met.

How will I receive my item?

The renter/seller will ship the item directly to you and you can follow its progress with regular shipping updates.
